DAB+ is digital terrestrial radio broadcasting, also known as Digital Audio Broadcasting. It can be easily tuned to a standard telescopic (pull-out) antenna located on each radio.
DAB+ is the successor to FM analogue broadcasting. DAB+ offers clear, digital sound with a range of additional services such as an electronic programme guide or visual information such as station logo, presenter, artist, news or traffic information.
To receive radio via DAB+, you need a DAB+-enabled digital receiver. All current digital radios with DAB+ continue to receive FM. So when buying a radio, it's best to ask for the DAB+ standard directly. There are also many hybrid devices that can receive internet radio as well as DAB+ and FM. DAB+ radios are available from handheld, desktop to high-end devices, in all price ranges.
